An official place
WHEN WE'RE MET WITH AN OFFICIAL PLACE such as entering a bank or the lobby of hotel or entrance of a supermarket.
We're others in there. All of us. Some can take on the aesthetics of an in group in those places, but ultimately that's just cosplay. We can learn to move well through these alien spaces, but ultimately we move better leaving them and on some level grow to resent out time there.
We also recognize those that move through those spaces with more confidence. Retain more of their outside selves when they're inside those rooms and halls. We sometimes give power to them to act on our behalf in those official places.

We meet them outside these places and send them in on our behalf. sentinels maybe or guardians of our safeness outside these places.
